Why of cause Zelenskys just taking his cue from other unfriendly countries. Why not let them out early he knows he won't be condemned for it at all. If there's any minuscule credit due ( in relevance to other unfriendlies ) then at least they Were Imprisoned at some stage of the ugly game but let out early in desperation last resort as contingency plan to replenish his depleted military rather than forgiveness of bad behaviour.
