Pandemics in Proportion
Sounds sensational when they say "80,000 DEAD IN THE US!!!" Until you realize that's not very much, compared to other pandemics. Twice in the past, in 1958 and 1968 (if I recall correctly) 100,000 Americans died from a virus. When the population was much lower, so the percentage was much higher. They didn't shut anything down. And few even know these events occurred.
