I had a habit once. Not anything you hear about today. Kind of late 19th century. I do love the Victorian era. Never manifested those problem behaviors that cause everyone around me trouble, though. However, microbes are ubiquitous, and insidious, so I did have some kerfuffles. But, overall, yeah, it was worth it. I can say I'm alive today because of it.

I had a weekend experience with it, I will never do it again. I'm not proud of it. I agree, James, I don't want to even be around folks that do.
In short time I realized how people ended up losing everything they own and everyone they love .....just to get some more. I took care of a patient that had a stroke on coke, it partially blinded (called "snow blind") and partially paralyzed him. He was 22, handsome young man with beautiful eyes, and I'm changing his diaper because he loved cocaine. I asked him if he'd ever do it again, he said, yes, as soon as I get out of here. Sigh.
Robin Williams once said that cocaine was nature's way of telling you that you have too much damn money. Says it all. Until the money runs out.
It is not, actually. Well, I wouldn't know. It has no effect on me. I know I don't enjoy the company of those using it. I avoid them.
