Its all about public opinion and how well you "act" in front of the camera/media, the more dramatic, the more you get public sympathy, and eventually, forgiveness...its come to that today - By Truth, George Orwell (i believe) meant Truth as in a Good Act, today, bad is disguised as good or truth, wrong opinions flourish, the good intenders are rarely keyboard warriors, its those who have nothing much to do, sit behind computers and vent their illiterate hate & knowledge among young innocents - this is happening in the so called developed world, which, in philosophical terms, is really 'under developed'
