Yes, I am serious. 

 

GND, this is not about Angels and Reptiles. I used those words as metaphors. The human mind is very complex. No one claims to fully understand it all. But from many long years of research scientists have confirmed the characteristics of the left and right hemispheres. They are pretty much as I described in those few sentences. 

 

The lower part of the human mind is very much like that of reptiles. Some scientists even refer to it as the lizard brain informally. And it too is very much like I describe.

 

The paleomammalian brain is the part that sets our behavior apart from the more ancient, lower forms of life. Other mammals all have something similar, but not as complex as ours. Its what allows mammalian societies and their group structures. And it is much like I describe.

 

I'm now sorry that I used those words as metaphors. I guess that I shouldn't have expected everyone to understand what I wrote. 

 

My apologies if I offended anyone with this. I was trying to share. Until just a few years ago I thought it all to be bunk. I laughed at and derided people who tried to explain the same things. I thought I knew it all about my mind. 

 

I was wrong. I was a fool. And I never want to go back to being like I was before when my Lizard Brain controlled me.

'Reptilian Brain' referring to the oldest part of our brain not shape shifting reptile. This is medical fact unless you subscribe to evolution being a lie?

Rolf, its not nonsense. But perhaps you would have been more likely to accept it all if I had used more scientific terms like paleomammalian, neocortex and cerebellum. It is from a different perspective, but that doesn't make it invalid. The words I use are the best I have to communicate what I know to a general audience. Many, many people have discovered the very same things going back to the earliest philosophers. 

 

As for me being an agent provocateur, I am not inciting conflict.
