Thanks, fireguy. It's scary to think these bottom-feeding goons will get security clearances. The criticisms and scandals will get worse.

About 5000 of these people couldn't get the security code for the employees entrance to the local Mc Donalds before TSA hired them.

Orlando Officer Arrested

I was sickened to hear about a former TSA staffer in Orlando who was recently arrested for lewd and lascivious conduct.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A TSA agent has been arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor after police say he tried to keep a girl as a sex slave. Police arrested 57-year-old Charles Bennett of Winter Garden on Friday. A 15-year-old girl was the one who reported him to police.

Criticisms and scandals
[edit] Criticisms
The TSA has faced a high level of criticism since its inception. These criticisms include:

Engaging in security theater.[16][17]
Conflicts of interest[18]
Theft by TSA employees.[19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26]
Failure of TSA screeners to detect fake bombs brought through security by undercover TSA agents, with detection levels much lower than private security agents on the same tests.

In the most recent tests, conducted in 2006, security screeners at LAX failed to identify 75% of fake bombs, while Chicago O'Hare screeners missed 60% of the bomb components. Private screeners in San Francisco missed only 20% of the prospective bomb parts.[27]

Invasive screening procedures, mistreatment of passengers, and sexual harassment by TSA officers.[28][29][30][31]

“Mission creep” — conducting suspicionless preflight searches of passengers or their belongings for items other than weapons or explosives.[32]

Lavish spending by the TSA on events unrelated to airport security.[33]

Sales of banned items collected from passengers.[34]

TSA employees bypassing security checks.[35]

Allegations of wasteful spending in its hiring practices.[36]

Employees sleeping on the job.[37][38][39][40]

Failure to use good judgment and common sense.[41][42][43]
