On May 4, 1970 the Ohio National Guard opened fire into a busy college campus during a school day. A total of 67 shots were fired in 13 seconds. Four students: (L to R) Allison Krause, Jeffrey Miller, William Schroeder, and Sandra Scheuer were killed. Nine students were wounded |

Today is my birthday, in 1976 I was attending Kent State during my freshman year, enjoying the May 4th events on campus and my birthday. I learned more from my social contacts than schooling itself. People there were most exciting but still many people, not from campus, were suffering from propaganda like the "...protesters were from out of state". Mostly the attitude was one of celebration, it was 6 years after the event and people were still celebrating the end of the war from a year before.
