Congressman John Fleming ( Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same health care plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt). Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and Sign his petition (very simple - just email).

I have just done just that at: Click Here

Please urge as many people as you can to do the same! If Congress forces this on the American people, then Congress should have to accept the same level of health care for themselves and their families.

If anything is wrong with our healthcare you can be sure that it will be fixed!

This idea is not as good as it might appear, at first blush. I always feel the little hairs on the back of my neck bristle when I read or hear someone pose the idea of amending the Constitution. No matter how clever the logic behind whoever conjurs this kind of thing, it seems to be not very well thought out, totally uneccessary, and usually extremely destructive to our liberties.

There are a few minor but pertinent points I'd offer in contradiction to this pursuit. First, the congresspeople that it proposes to "require" to do anything, by adding or altering the Constitution, ignore the Constitution we already have. How will amending the Constitution cause them to suddenly obey, honor, and uphold what it says... with more words they will also avoid reading?

More importantly though, all three branches of the national government have abandoned the Constitution and it's original intent, as defined by the Framers. I doubt very many of them remember very much of the Constitution, if they ever knew it at all. Out of sight, out of mind... by design. For more on this... http://tinyurl.com/yyahyop

While it's a nice sentiment I very much doubt there will be any serious efforts to pass any amendments to the Constitution in the u.s. as long as the fascists remain in power. Even the act of voting down an amendment would legitimize the authority of the Constitution and that is something they simply CANNOT have as it would highlight their traitorous disregard of it both past and present.

Over 100 calls for an article V convention from the states hasn't stirred them to hold a convention though the Constitution states quite clearly that they MUST under such conditions so their contempt for the Constitution, the states and the people really knows no bounds whatsoever. When laws apply to specific people or groups, it will be declared unconstitutional. We saw this with the legislation to defund ACORN. So why can our elected officials segregate themselves from the power of the laws they create? If all laws do not apply to ALL people then they are discriminating and therefore illegal.

I know the answer, but the logic must be addressed.

New rule: All laws must apply to the lawmakers and law enforcers same as they do to citizens or they are not laws.
