David Crosby song entitled "Laughing"
From the Album "If Only I could Remember My Name"
Comment
Doc, I can separate the art from the artist. Can you point me to some of his songs?
Burbia, I know all about Crosby. He didn't win any fan club awards that's for sure. He's lucky to even be alive. Somehow, he and Graham Nash seemed to show up at a few live shows for instance with McCartney and such, but I'm not idolizing this guy. Sadly, he was a beautiful song writer and musician, who didn't match up well with his character. This song and LP I think are his best work. I guess he made this record before burning too many bridges.
"Who wins the title for Biggest Jerk in Rock ’n’ Roll? (It doesn’t say “Jerk” on the certificate, but this is a family newspaper.) Artists as varied as Bob Dylan, John Lennon, and Morrissey have been bandied about as contenders, and, personally, I’ve always thought that Lou Reed should have retired the crown. Based on a viewing of “David Crosby: Remember My Name,” though, the LA musician and classic-rock legend deserves to be up there in the competitive brackets. This is a man so intensely disliked by his peers that when it came time to make a documentary about his life no one agreed to be interviewed." Quote from Boston Globe:

"If there is, as many believe, a network of elite families that has shaped national and world events for a very long time, then it is probably safe to say that David Crosby is a bloodline member of that clan .... If America had royalty, then David Crosby would probably be a Duke, or a Prince, or something similar (I’m not really sure how that shit works)." Quote from Whale website:
Chris, I saw Jethro Tull at the LSU student center and in Dallas during the Aqualung LP they were great but after Thick as a Brick losing all their original members they weren't the same anymore even though I an Anderson was a great musician and vocalist.
