Ahhhh, the life of a Homesteader
1. Cut firewood and cure all last Summer. Check.
2. Load enough wood to front porch for two weeks. Check.
3. Freezer full of meats. Check.
4. Pantry full of canned veggies from last years garden. Check.
5. Build temporary structure with a hog panel and greenhouse plastic to protect the 10 kw Dual Fuel Champion generator. Check.
6. 20 lb. propane bottles filled up, and with 30 gals. of gas for backup. Check.
7. 5 lbs. Chuck Roast slow-cooked to perfection to be used in sandwiches, then add onions, flat beans, butterbeans, and potatoes, then later in week add tomatoes and sauce for a veggie soup, so not stuck with just one meal choice, Check.
8. 300 watt heat lamp in well house. Check.
9. Have daughter come over and raid freezer to feed four, because she did not prepare? Always... Check.
10. Daughter and grandkids hugging my neck because their grandad is a prepper? Freakin' PRICELESS!!!
