What makes the BC Refederation Party different from the “other” parties on the 11th of November is that the others will gather across the country tomorrow at the cenotaphs, presumably for the remembering of those who sacrificed themselves for our rights and freedoms.
But the next day they will be back in the legislatures with their “business as usual” - trampling all over those same rights and freedoms that the men and women died for in past and current wars.
BC Refed on the other hand, is fighting to permanently restore and renew those rights and freedoms for ordinary folk. That calls for a change in our political system - a simple addition to our parliamentary system to give voters control over politicians between elections.
Let us never forget the fifty five million that sacrificed their lives for our rights and freedoms. Let us always remember that we are duty bound to never allow government, ANY government, to further encroach on our rights and freedoms.
