Every time we discover a new covert form of weaponry it’s usually been leaked by science fiction in literature or Hollywood. Is this simply coincidental, an intelligence leak, or a way of making an advanced introduction by DARPA or the intelligence apparatus for the sake of psyops? In the words of many whistle blowers the civilian market and knowledge of the general public is eclipsed by years compared to the products of military R & D. For instance the YF-12 the precursor to the SR-71 was unknown to the American public from the late 1950’s until 1964. For years the YF-12 had been conducting Mach speed reconnaissance with high altitude capability for years unbeknownst to the general public. Such is the case of many innovations. One might not even realize that the first laptop with a mouse was first created in 1963 housed in a metallic suitcase.
So, is there actually a visual device or should I say psychological weapon capable of stunning, temporarily incapacitating, and causing memory loss? Many indicators say yes, and may very well have been invented and put into use for some time now. If one were to examine the incredible numbers of criminal and disappearance cases that involve inexplicable loss of memory and time, it’s certainly conceivable!
So, when did the clandestine exposure of such technology get released as fictional entertainment? The film “Looker” released in 1981 written and directed by Michael Crichton which starred Albert Finney, James Coburn, and Susan Dey, features a high tech computerized advertisement agency that uses subliminal hypnosis electronically induced to persuade people to buy products. Their entire approach is based upon the visual manipulation of the human brain. At the same time this company is using this type of mind control to enlist attractive female models that it can recreate just as AI is doing today and once they have all the measurements needed to reproduce that model, she suddenly dies under questionable circumstances while any potential witnesses are rendered into amnesia! The hand held device uses a blast of light that renders the recipient into a trance like state. Albert Finney’s character, a plastic surgeon who handles many aspiring models seeking perfect for their careers.
His personal investigation exposed him to many unsuspected dangers into he finally arrives at what is really going on! The movie is quite futuristic but very plausible, Michael Crichton was ahead of his time and I wonder if he was not privy to many classified projects that most of us would never guess were happening!
In 1989, Whitley Strieber’s novel "Majestic” based upon the Roswell Crash and the implications of the wide spread cover up as well as a virtually invisible infiltration of our society by extraterrestrials who can operate with impunity using an electronic field that virtually paralyzes and creates amnesia among groups of people! His main character is a US military intelligence officer who served in WWII in the Middle East in a cat and mouse game with his Nazi counterparts! The agent manages to pierce the curtain of alien mystery and experiences paranormal enlightenment as a consequence of melding with their intelligence. What was this field of an electronic influence of psychological manipulation? Although the effects are well detailed the device itself is not well described. According to Strieber the US government would never have allowed this story had it been non-fiction so he had to present it as science fiction! What did Whitley know that to this day we still have no idea of?
In 1997 a movie came out that many UFO enthusiasts hoped would break the silence over the long history of cover ups over alien abductions, but instead Hollywood turned it into a cinematic comedy! In the movie, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones play two secret agents who fight a war against alien civilizations who are evil and try to hold the alliance of friendly extrasolar civilizations together for the sake of human survival. A continuing struggle with strange species and their unknown visitations to earth leads to some genuinely funny encounters, but the two Men in Black (Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones) have a device that renders witnesses that would blow the secrecy after what they’ve seen with complete memory loss by a hand held cylindrical instrument that emits a brilliant flash! Even the two Men in Black must wear special glasses to shield them from the hypnotic effects of their secret device.
Is there any truth to all of this? Scientists have known for some time going all the way back to the 1960’s that pulsating, multi-colored lights could induce anything from seizures to psychedelic effects upon the human mind through this visual stimuli! So, as time went on was this technology perfected to induce a trance-like state combined with amnesia? Military interrogation research has probably cracked that ability for some time now, and it would certainly explain many of these cases of loss of time, erasure of memory, and the inexplicable lack of multiple witness testimony of sensitive events!
