Model previously used to hunt insurgents in Afghanistan

Armored military vehicles of the type used to hunt for insurgents in Afghanistan are set to patrol roads in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin as part of a training exercise on behalf of the U.S. Army Reserve.
“(Capt. William) Geddes said the U.S. Army Reserve wanted to alert the public to the training dates so residents are not alarmed when a pack of heavily armored military vehicles is driving around the county,” reports Sheboyganpress.com.
The exercises are being run despite the fact that troops driving the M1117 Armored Security Vehicles have already received their basic training. “They’re vehicles that these military officers might use if they’re deployed, patrol vehicles,” Geddes said, adding that the drills were to ensure that officers didn’t get “rusty” in handling the M1117s.
The vehicles, which have been used overseas in Afghanistan, are described as being “strange,” “intimidating” and “heavily armored,” while being the same size as a large SUV.
Local authorities have apparently not even been briefed about the planned exercises, which will run until August 17.
“Sheboygan County Administrator Adam Payne said he had not heard about the training exercises. Two city officials declined to comment, because they also had heard nothing about the training,” states the report.

Geddes urged citizens not to create safety hazards on the roads by stopping to gaze at the vehicles.
The increasing phenomena of military training drills taking place away from military bases and amidst the general public has led to fears that the American people are being acclimatized to accept a potential future declaration of martial law.
Back in June, residents in St Louis were shocked to see heavily armored U.S. Army vehicles patrolling neighborhoods as part of an exercise. However, the local media responded by featuring ‘vox pops’ interviews with people who supported the use of the military in order to “cut down on crime,” despite the fact that using the Army for domestic law enforcement is forbidden under the Posse Comitatus Act.
Advocating that America ape foreign countries where troops patrol the streets, one resident told Fox 2, “I think it’s the same way when you go to other countries…they don’t have police officers they have troops, and I think it kind of scares a lot of people…it might cut down on a whole lot of crime because they don’t know if they’re military or the police.”
“I think it’s fantastic because it might slow down some of the crime rate,” added another.
Predictions of mass civil unrest have fueled fears that the federal government and the U.S. Army are gearing up for domestic disorder. Both the U.S. Army and the Department of Homeland Security recently purchased large quantities of riot gear in anticipation of trouble at the upcoming DNC, RNC and the presidential inauguration. The DHS has also purchased 450 million rounds of .40 caliber hollow point bullets.
A recently leaked US Army Military Police training manual for “Civil Disturbance Operations” outlines how military assets are to be used domestically to quell riots, confiscate firearms and even kill Americans on U.S. soil during mass civil unrest.
On page 20 of the manual, rules regarding the use of “deadly force” in confronting “dissidents” are made disturbingly clear with the directive that a, “Warning shot will not be fired.”
As an example of how high tensions are running, the following You Tube video, which shows over a hundred tanks being transported through Burbank, California, is also causing consternation amongst those that fear some form of martial law could be just around the corner.

Mr. J. Patriot,
Sorry to hear about your recent coma during the P-rimary Resident George W. Bush, who signed into
Public Law 109-364, or the "John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007" (H.R.5122) (2), which was signed by the commander in chief on October 17th, 2006, in a private Oval Office ceremony, allows the President to declare a "public emergency" and station troops anywhere in America and take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of the governor or local authorities, in order to "suppress public disorder."
President Bush seized this unprecedented power on the very same day that he signed the equally odious Military Commissions Act of 2006. In a sense, the two laws complement one another. One allows for torture and detention abroad, while the other seeks to enforce acquiescence at home, preparing to order the military onto the streets of America. Remember, the term for putting an area under military law enforcement control is precise; the term is "martial law."
Make no mistake about it: the de-facto repeal of the Posse Comitatus Act (PCA) is an ominous assault on American democratic tradition and jurisprudence. The 1878 Act, which reads, "Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both," is the only U.S. criminal statute that outlaws military operations directed against the American people under the cover of 'law enforcement.' As such, it has been the best protection we've had against the power-hungry intentions of an unscrupulous and reckless executive, an executive intent on using force to enforce its will.
Unfortunately, this past week, the president dealt posse comitatus, along with our American Republic, a near fatal blow. Consequently, it will take an aroused citizenry to undo the damage wrought by this horrendous act, part and parcel, as we have seen, of a long train of abuses and outrages perpetrated by this authoritarian administration.
You had a chance to shout and holler then, and I did, but to no avail. No one cared. This was only 6 years ago, and no one even remember the horrific de-construction of the Republic and the rule of Law.
Glad to see your coma did not last forever though.
That dose not surprise me. I had already saw them bringing them in to a fire station in Gainesville Fl. It was like a bunker on wheels. It was brought in the later afternoon so traffic was lite and it had a cop esscout. Pullling in at red lights. Stuff like that. Just making sure that it kept going. Have a great evening.
The Federal Government through FEMA now controls local Law Enforcement, and is now militarizing them. Local Law Enforcement Agencies are getting grants, and other goodies from the Federal Government for their cooperation, and their falling for it hook line and sinker! How do I know this I use to be in Law Enforcement, and the Agency I worked for got all kind of goodies including drones! Why the hell are they going to need drones to keep the community safe from crime! The Military has become more involved as we approach D-Day! They increasingly ignore the rule of law, and common sense! They ignore The Posse Comitatus Act is the United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385, original at 20 Stat. 152) that was passed on June 18, 1878, after the end of Reconstruction. They continue to ignore your civil liberties, and now they’re just waiting for something to happen so they can declare Martial Law and have their glorious Empire (The New World Order)! Take heed in the voices from our past when it comes to gun control. “Firearms stand next in importance of the Constitution itself.
They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence.”
General Washington
Americans have the right and advantage of being armed – unlike the citizens of other countries
Whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.
James Madison
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, at last resort,
To protect themselves against tyranny in government.
All the stuff coming from Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, lemonadestan, much came through our repair facility. We fix and ship it out, they don't say where. Iran nuclear plant was 200 miles across the Persin gulf,Bushar Iran. We don't need to send nothing to that area,it's already there.
Moving heavy armored vehicles by train is a normal means of transportation. I have seen this in the 50's and 60's. To see them driving down the streets is not normal activity. They say it is practice. I would think Korea,Viet Nam,Iraq, and others would have been enough. I did time in the navy,it's all about breaking you down and then make you think and do the same all the rest, robots come to mind.
Sorry to burst everyone's bubble here about the train loads of tanks, but this is something that is done during every generation and almost yearly. I saw trainloads in the seventies, eighties, nineties, etc. Some are being sent for repair and some are being de-commissioned from use overseas. You will se the same tanks being sent back as well. Some come from the East Coast and some are being shipped to the West Coast for overseas deployment. Believe it or not, the military does not use the Panama Canal to avoid the US sensibilities...they take the straightest route possible, and that is your backyard railroad. If you have never seen tanks on railcars, then you haven't been looking very hard for the last fifty years.
As for the troops in Wisconsin, it is known as the "Chilling Effect" and is meant to instill fear, and people like Alex Jones and Watson are the best purveyors of fear I have ever known. I am so glad they are in Wisconsin though, where they just had a bitter bloody recall battle, (hint, hint), so maybe their wheels will be encrusted by the mouldering hunks of cheese made in Sheboygan County. Just two Molotov cocktails would make these chump armored carriers useless due to the heat carriage from the heavy shielding.
Again, the "Chilling Effect" to shut you up, and the "Fear Factor" to make AJ's profits and ratings go up.
