Author Naomi Wolf arrested outside Huffington Post awards ceremony

Feminist author Naomi Wolf was arrested last night outside the Huffington Post’s “Game Changers” awards ceremony as she marched with about 150 members of “Occupy Wall Street” to protest New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D) resistance to raising taxes on the wealthy.

Cuomo, who was being honored by the AOL news group for supporting same sex marriage in New York, has recently been criticized for pushing back against a tax on millionaires, which is supported by a large majority of New York voters.

Wolf showed up last night to make sure members of the press understood how offensive the protesters find this. “I was completely complying with the law and the permit as it was described to me by police and I was arrested for standing lawfully on the sidewalk,” she explained after being released.

Naomi Wolf: how I was arrested at Occupy Wall Street

Arresting a middle-aged writer in an evening gown for peaceable conduct is a far cry from when America was a free republic

How lefty of her, raise taxes??? Tarpley's solution to debt is to tax every stock trade, I like that better than income taxes.
