...not sure if there is a group on 12160 of bible symbolism or w/e but i wouldn't mind diving into this once in a while.

Fig symbolism
The fig was among the first trees mentioned in the bible. The tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil were the first two. When Adam and Eve gave in to temptation, and ate the forbidden fruit (knowledge of good and evil) they realized for the first time that they were naked, so they fabricated aprons sown from fig leaves to cover themselves.

The fig symbolizes change, accomplishment, misfortune or setback. Sometimes accomplishment and misfortune are dualistically present. Case and point: Jesus clearing the temple with a withered fig branch. He challenges the money changers (old school banksters) and runs them out of the temple almost irreproachably in protest.

 

Mark 11:15

¹⁵ And they come to Jerusalem: and he entered into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and them that bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold the doves;

 

(Dove having it's own meaning as well.)

 

Duality because this was also the event that lead to Jesus' eventual demise.

18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him
