Awesome that the CDC is telling pregnant women to get the flu shot when this is what is included in the manufacturer's insert: Pregnancy Category C: Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with Fluzone vaccine. It is also not known whether Fluzone vaccine can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant... woman or can affect reproduction capacity. Very similar wording appears on all package inserts for all flu vaccines. None have been tested on pregnant women. In fact, the insert I just read indicates that pregnant women should not be vaccinated unless specifically directed to do so by a medical professional.
