Description:
A man who died in a Little Rock hospital this weekend could be Arkansas' first death from the H1N1 virus. The Pulaski County coroner say the victim was a 28-year-old man. The victim suffered from flu-like symptoms for six weeks before he sought treatment. According to the coroner, he tested positive for several strains of flu. But it will take more time to determine if he also had the H1N1 strain. "By him testing positive for more than one strand of flu we wanted to take the necessary precautions to examine if that may be the cause of his death," says Garland Camper, Pulaski County coroner. According to guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control, the victims's body has been sent to the state crime lab.
