2) They handicap job applicants in a world where the majority of HR people are White.
Research shows that when resumes containing names that are either perceived as White or neutral in race identification that those names get much more follow up than those names perceived as 'Black'.
Employment wise, naming your child Charles or Jane will get them employment and advancement quicker than naming them Trayvon or Tamika.
