Last time I went for a doctor visit, I was 20. I had a very old school Doc from Maine who was just as fed up w/ the big pharma biz as most. He was an awesome guy, sewed my left pinky back on my hand like a pro (I was 12)...and he wasn't one for protocol, sometimes instead of prescribing the expensive meds, he'd say, "I got a bunch of samples of this (whatever the medication was) in the back storage I'll give you because you'll go broke buying these from a Pharmacy dude"

He was also a chronic smoker, I always got a chuckle when he'd be at his desk, writing out a prescrip with a marlboro hanging out his mouth. The man was a brilliant doc w/ only the desire to Heal, he didn't care about a dollar. Good man, had a greenhouse in his house on 2nd story, loved raising exotic flowers. I  attended his funeral 7 years ago, he was 85...RIP Doc Colman, you were one of the last great ones who gave a flying fuck about people's health ;) and now today this area is full of Indian and Pakistani Docs w/ stank breath...NO THANKS, I'll take my chances at home
