From what we know about these mentally ineffabled degenerates is that they're completely narcissistic, drunken on their own self importance, in a sort of god like fantasy land of self delusion. This really just might be a nut case acting out, believing that if he made it back to Europe the powers that be would cover for him and protect him. I'll bet this isn't the first time that he's done this, not by a long shot. That is if this is true and not a black ops move to stop the SDR from achieving the world reserve status.

It emerged on Monday that Mr Strauss-Kahn is facing a possible second investigation into claims of sex crimes after a lawyer acting for a French woman said his client was likely to make a complaint over an alleged sexual assault by the International Monetary Fund chief in 2002. NY proescutors said they would be looking into such allegations.

Tristane Banon, a 31-year-old novelist, “envisages lodging a complaint” with the police, her lawyer David Koubbi told Agence France Presse on Monday.

Ms Banon alleges the head of the International Monetary Fund attacked her during an interview in an empty apartment in 2002. She was dissuaded from reporting the incident by her mother, a Socialist councillor in the Normandy region, Mr Koubbi said.

Here is an article from a French newspaper about a previous rape attempt by Dominique Strauss-Kahn. The attempted rape happened nine years ago, but was not made public until today following the arrest of Strauss-Kahn in New York.

The charge is being made by Tristane Banon, a journalist and author, whose mother talked her out of filing charges and now regrets that she did so. The thinking at the time is that the young woman did not want to become known as having had trouble with a politician.

The young woman is the god-daughter of Strauss-Kahn's second wife.
