i had a lighter in my purse about a year ago when i went to vegas to visit a friend, i didn't realize it was in my purse going to vegas .. it was overlooked , coming home i did know it was in my purse .. it was still over looked .. what a great system.. i did get the enhanced pat down because i have metal in my body but that lighter was overlooked. I had not traveled on a plane in 10 yrs. It was a great sacrifice to visit a friend who bought me a ticket because she really missed me. I won't be traveling by plane again if it can be helped. I used to fly twice a year. TSA is an abomination and an insult to the freedom of everyone..
