CALUMET CITY, Ill. (CBS) — Police in Calumet City were defending their actions Wednesday after officers shot and killed a 15-year-old boy, who has a form of autism, after he threatened them with a knife.

Stephon Watts’ family said he suffered from Asperger’s Syndrome — a high-functioning form of autism — and attention deficit disorder.

As CBS 2′s Susanna Song and WBBM Newsradio’s Steve Miller report, they claimed the boy was only holding a butter knife. Police would only describe it as a “kitchen knife.”

Odd how they intentionally hire thugs that will lock non-violent harmless people in jail and these same thugs would shoot a child, who would have guessed? I mean GOSH if they used their bare hands to control a knife wielding child with autism they might have gotten cut or something... You know like sometimes happens to a paid PROTECTOR. That use to be the job, they where actually protectors years ago.

Well... I remember a couple of historical figures that has quite similar ideologies. I'm not gonna mention any names :-) . But a common denominator was genocide, tyranny, oppression, dislike towards certain ethnic groups ect ect use your imagination.

Any family would be furious if their child was murdered, autistic or not; while  Both officers have been placed on paid administrative leave. (paid vacations?)

Right they could have easily tased him.

they couldn't disarm/restrain him , they couldn't win his confidence, they couldn't defend themselves/ disable him or de-escalate the situation... without killing him .

May as just as well called the exterminators .

We are lazy, decadent, drooling, poisoned, brain damaged, cowardly, phonies... that's why we let them get away with it. People still think Obama is doing a great job lmao... did I mention stupid?

Jpatriot has told me several times that leo departments are getting rid of intelligent cops with integrity and replacing them with the types that are responsible for this and many more of the brutal atrocities we continue seeing, seemingly on a daily basis. Why do WE allow our cities, counties, states, and federal gov'ts to continue to get away with this? They control the majority through fear.
