I thinking about with this screwed up economy and corruption in this world. What would Mc Donalds do if the economy is slumping. Would they charge for dipping sauce? Back in the 80's and 90's dipping sauce was free now they charge for it according to the recent complaint made on a site called complaints board. Complaints board is a good site that has customers and long time users to speak out the truth about business and how the economy is effecting business. Soon we will have a list of places that charge for condiments here when its available for through web research. Still the places are good to eat, but bring more money than you need to when you go out to eat.
Here is a story from a paying customer who just experienced this:
We frequently visit this McDonalds and came in this evening for a meal. We placed our order and paid with a credit card. When our order was ready we asked for dipping sauce and were dismayed to find that this McDonalds is now charging $0.11 cents per container for your dipping sauce. This is outrages! What next, are you going to start charging $0.11 cents for a little packet of ketchup or maybe $0.11 cents for a lid or a straw? You are the first and only fast food restaurant I know of that charges for condiments! All I wanted was a couple of containers, in the past I would ask for sauce and your employees would give me several when I only needed one. Instead of penalizing your customers why don’t you train your employees to be more conservative when handing them out.
I can not tell you how upsetting and appalling this is to me and I will be voicing my opinion to everyone who will listen! This will include FaceBook postings to all my friends and discussions around the “free” coffee maker at work on Monday! I also plan to contact the other fast food restaurants in the area and encourage them to advertise that their condiments are still free!
Complaint from another paying customer about a Quiznos charging extra for
condiments.
Today Aug 22 2009 I had ordered 10 different sandwiches for my company. This store did not take online orders, so I had to called in the order by phone. The person that I spoke to he put me on hold for at least 15 minutes and then tell me that I have to come in person to order cause he was busy. Thinking it was lunch hour there must have been lots of customers and a long line. I drove down to the shop to order after hanging up the phone which took less than 5 minutes. I had arrived and there was hardly anyone there no cars in the parking lot. I walk in and there was no line but had 3 employees just standing there. I have order many sandwiches more than once at this store and had no problem ordering on the phone. But today the owner was there and he decides to charge extra for pickles, condiments, and jalapeños. The owner was being cheap and he was charging me at least $0.50 for every each extra things I had asked for. I know asking for extra pickles and condiment anywhere else is FREE. But he had charged me up to extra $5! That is outrageous I argued with the owner that its not fair and that I have to feed 10 coworkers that would like extra condiments. He yells at me FIVE DOLLARS! FIVE DOLLARS!! if you want MORE! Forget that! $5 doesn't grow on trees! Took my sandwiches and left the store. I was so appalled after leaving with my order I called Customer Services to file a complaint cause they did not have an email address and left me on hold. After being on hold for 10 minutes someone finally picks up to says good bye and HANGS UP! I call again and now no one is picking up the phone. I am so angry that I could not eat the sandwich at the end.
More stories to come, stay tuned. Be sure to share this with others, you could make a video or find a video, or podcast about this and share it with your family and friends. We need to get people fully aware of this difficult thing to absorb especially when
you are craving for a burger, fries and a soda.
