Sadly, deaths are now being reported in the states now. NYC and now someone in Little Rock Ak. Feel like we will see more as to "hyping" its awareness. It's even said in NYC that they still don't no how it (swine flu) got in the schools.

You can find the Pandemic Influenza preparedness plans for most states here. Looks like DHS are contemplating a pandemic and lead the people into confined areas.
