FEMA had planned to simulate a nuclear explosion right on the Las Vegas Strip to test for emergency preparedness. But the plan is meeting a lot of opposition from all the key players, including Boyd Gaming, MGM Mirage, the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and the LVCVA.
“All of our focus should be on attracting visitors on reasons why they should visit Las Vegas, not inhibitors,” said Vince Alberta with the LVCVA.
LVCVA wrote a letter on behalf of those against the idea saying, “We believe a scenario such as this will generate undue anxiety about visiting or conducting business in Las Vegas.”
Critics say a mock nuclear explosion should happen at a place where the damage would have a greater impact, like the Hoover Dam. But it's a step-by-step process and the first battle won is moving the exercise away from the Strip and over to Sunset Park. But it's not enough. “The biggest request we have is to change the exercise,” said Alberta.
LVCVA says a flood or earthquake drill would be a better alternative over a nuclear blast drill.
FEMA responded by saying, “We will continue to reach out to key stakeholders, including state and local officials, to receive their input as we prepare for and continue to develop this important event.”
The exercise is scheduled for May 17, 2010 and is expected to bring 10,000 people to town.'

"Coincidence" Just watch them-mind boggling to say the least. I have never seen most of those Movies but planning on watching The Stand! all I can say is that they had their fun with the NWO, but I know there future (destiny)too.

"Coincidence?" Video: I gotta tell ya...at least some of the stuff on this site I have to take with at least a quarter grain of salt. Now some of that stuff on the video I can pretty easily see as just that-- a coincidence-- an innocent pairing of the numbers "9" and "11" for example. They're not THAT far apart on the number scale either....
1. There's way too much that's not easily explainable as coincidence.
2. Of the stuff that's explainable....there IS a lot of it...."weird" at best....

lol...a friend of mine once told the story of the time that as a lieutenant, a colonel was browbeating him into simulating such a nuclear explosion (with appropriate mushroom cloud) using non-nuclear materials. This was against Army regulations, base regulations, etc. etc. except for training purposes during times of actual war.
So finally he consents and spends all day digging the hole, placing the 55 gallon drums of crude oil, etc. The next day during the colonel's planned training exercise this buddy of mine throws the switch and the explosion and cloud could be seen and heard for miles.
So as he and the colonel are standing there admiring his handiwork, the colonel's tank commanders are terrified as they are slamming their hatches trying to get back into their tanks for some protection from the (imaginary) radiation and nuclear fallout....
Then the base commander (a three-star general) comes screeching up in his jeep. Said general knew exactly who's ass to start chewing because this buddy of mine was one of only three people on the entire base that knew how to do it and the "directions" was classified.
Calm, cool, collected, this buddy of mine stands there and lets the general chew his ass "left, right, and center" (even citing which regulation he had broken) for several minutes. When the general was finished, Al says:
"Sir, here is my written authorization, signed by Colonel Schwartz."
Then the general says:
"Lieutenant, you're not as dumb as I thought you were."
Soon after the colonel resigned his commission and faded into obscurity....
