Foolish Enough
On this forbidden planet I eat my meals alone
Don’t care to go very far when I roam
It’s hard to rebuild a broken home
Don’t get caught in the sentimental zone,
Mister Good bar is under attack
Seems everything is a scheme or a hack
With their lies the media would turn the sun black
The truth merely represents another setback,
It’s an upside down existence
Where facts are met with such resistance
Loyalty only upon remittance
No justice, just filing for a continuance,
I was foolish enough to think we’d be together
Despite the implications of foul weather
My fragile perceptions held by a tether
I think her name was Heather,
Thought I knew what life was about
Without recognizing who really had the clout
The idol worshippers who scream and shout
Traitors are the true pigs without a doubt,
Life can be a devastating education
When you are deceived by the provocation
Seduced by the momentary sensations
Just look around at the faltering nations.
