Ex-county employee faces embezzling charge

A warrant was authorized Wednesday for a former Livingston County employee who is alleged to have embezzled from the county clerk’s office.
Livingston County District Court records identify the woman as 46-year-old Colleen Marie Fortier, who could not be reached for comment Friday.
The warrant charges Fortier with embezzlement by a public officer. It carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
