Here in S.E. NM we Full Time RV'ers at The Escapee Ranch in Lakewood, NM have learned not to depend on the National Weather Service, just chuckle and give them the 15 degree rule.

Here in rural NM I learned to tell the weather from some of the old cowboys and ranch foreman I met while on the road, RV'ing up in the mountains west of Capitan. You bet, I spent over a year camped up there, of which included one winter, as a personal challenge, testing myself and my fifth wheel RV to the limits after it took me three gut wrenching years to sell our home in Texas after my husband passed away. Thanks to good people like Dave Ramsey and crew, they guided me through some pretty tough times when dealing with the financial vultures, who are nothing more then the elite globalist bankers raping our country, slowly turning it into a third world nation.

If you could get to us, I am here in the park office working my second job as weekend park host where you are one with nature and the weather gods. We have had two days of this cold wet stuff that decided last night to just blow in as flat out snow. But if you're in the four season club like I am here as a Full Timer you learn how to take even the snow and ice as it comes with 285 south of Carlsbad about to be shut down and 285 north of Roswell to Cline's Corners shut down. I also hear that 380 from Roswell to the west is closed. And you can pretty much bet 81 west out of Artesia is impassable going up to Cloud Croft.
