Fun Fact: In one of FBI' s most botched cases, Robert Mueller and James Comey worked together to frame an innocent man of the 2001 Anthrax Attacks.
Fun fact 2: Mueller and Comey had absolutely no evidence to support their theory that Hatfield was the perpetrator of the Anthrax attack, there was none, so the agency did a Hail Mary, importing two bloodhounds from California whose handlers claimed could sniff the scent of the killer on the anthrax-tainted letters. These dogs were shown to Hatfill, who promptly petted them. When the dogs responded favorably, their handlers told the FBI that they’d “alerted” on Hatfill and that he must be the killer

These guys have been partners in crime for a long time. Remember HSBC Bank laundering of drug cartel money? The Director of the FBI at that time was Robert Mueller. James Comey, who replaced Mueller as FBI director, was a member of the HSBC board of directors. Mueller became a partner in the law firm that represented HSBC. The case was settled by Loretta Lynch, who then was U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. And the Attorney General was Eric Holder. HSBC was the CIA’s money-laundering bank-of-choice to launder the proceeds the CIA was deriving from running the international heroin trade originating in Southeast Asia. HSBC got off with a fine instead of criminal prosecution.
