If the world ends on December 21, blame a German butterfingers who dropped a volcanic rock skull once owned by SS overlord Heinrich Himmler in his laboratory this week.
According to legend, the Mayan skull, which was stolen from Tibet by the Nazis and imbued for believers with magical powers to enable mankind to survive an apocalypse, fell and chipped during a photo shoot.
For some, this is a catastrophe that foretells the end of the world, but others advise us to keep calm and carry on.

I'm calling BS on this...
There ARE Tibetan skulls, as well as mayan skulls.
However this is NOT a crystalline skull.
So there is this alleged meeting in Wiltshire in 2009, where the British soldier's grandson allegedly presents the skull to Ritter - a 43 year old amateur historian from Dresden, who dubbed it 'Quauthemoc'.
I can think of a million reasons of why this is highly unlikely.
Himmler and his two companions, SS-Obersturmbannführer Werner Grothmann and SS-Sturmbannführer Heinz Macher, were captured on 21 May, 1945 by 3 Russians (who were assigned to a British post at the River Oste) in Meinstedt.
Himmler was wearing a Wehrmacht uniform sans insignia and carrying ausweis documentation identifying him as Feldwebel Heinrich Hitzinger of a Special Armoured Company, attached to the Geheime Feldpolizei (Secret Field Police), demobilized on 3 May 1945.
Himmler's belongings are on record as having been searched by the 3 Russians, and also by one Corporal Richard Forrest in Bremervörde. The only key items referenced were the two small brass cases, similar to a cartridge case. One containing a small glass phial. Himmler insisted that this was a a medicine for stomach complaints. It turned out to be prussic acid, with which he would kill himself with another hidden phial on the 23rd May at Uelzener Straße 31a in Lüneburg.
Why would Himmler go to the effort of disguising himself and his companions with uniforms and paperwork, only to compromise them all by insisting on carrying a skull made of volcanic rock, which of course wouldn't attract any attention from either Soviet or Allied forces who were likely to intercept them on their intended journey to Bavaria.
I think this is more likely to be a media op by Ritter to drum up business for his seminar's before the end of the year...
