If you still cannot get the bleeding controlled then the very last option is to apply a tourniquet!
THIS IS A LAST RESORT!!!!!! More on the proper application of a tourniquet later!!!
Shock is a very serious condition which occurs when the body's circulatory system begins to break down. ( a lack of oxygenated bloodflow to and thru-out the body!!! ) This can if left untreated kill a casualty quickly!!! As a rule that I use, one should always treat for shock even if the symptoms are not, at the moment visible. Elevating the feet and loosening all restrictive clothing is just what I do to any casualty. SHOCK KILLS!!!!!!! ENJOY AND LEARN FROM THE VIDEO BELOW:
