Hackers: A Threat To Everything We Know

There have been an increasing amount of news stories lately about hackers. It seems that they are all coming out of the woodwork at once. There have been major news articles detailing alleged Iranian, and North Korean hacking incidents this year.

Late last month, South Korea responded to a hacking incident. At the time of reporting, the culprits were unknown although the finger was quickly pointed at North Korea:

Police and government officials declined to speculate on whether North Korea, which has threatened to attack both South Korea and the United States after it was hit with United Nations sanctions for its February nuclear test, was behind the cyberattack.

It worried me after 9/11 when the fingers began pointing to Bin Laden within minutes of the planes striking the towers. It bothers me that there are so many hacking incidents where the damage is unknown, but the perpetrator is known immediately.
