Since I knew both ''R's'' before the coop had gained size, have had -lets say- negative contact with kaibiles, and since this Wiki piece does a fair job bringing out one moment of a dirty war many in the U.S. know nothing about, it seems important to post the link [My own writing about that war and hundreds of U.S. sponsored massacres would be overly analytic on one hand and obscene on the other.....but god did it teach me. E.G. - The folks in DC -even those devoted to a partic. nation or topic- really have No Idea of the realities]

Please note this was early 1980's - conflict had begun during the 1950's and [officially] ended w/ a 1996 agreement - there were waves of terror, constant but greater and lesser intensity.
