This time of year the temperatures in Detroit can rise to the high twenties giving the residents a break from the clouds and snow that are the usual through the long winters.
There is some good news coming from the auto industry that drives Michigan's economy and has experienced a contraction of 25% in the number of workers still building cars and trucks in the "Motor City."
We are drowning in Coal, Natural Gas and Oil in this country we have the technology to use it all extremly responsibly and with minimum impact to the environment. This Volt thing is BS this technology has been available for many years adn is probably already obsolete.

Actually, the Volt chassis is set-up to have the "Fuel Cell" that GM has developed installed in the future when enough hydrogen refueling stations are built in the US (there are four now in California) or perhaps even use natural gas which is increasing in supply from old oil wells in our country.
That would be a true "Electric Car" that would not need overnight recharging.
No, the Volt will only run off of wind generated electricity piped through the smart ass grid. If you get energy from coal, nuke, natural gas or hydroelectric the Volt will call Obama's Energy Czar on the ONStar system and SWAT teams will be immediatly dispatched to your GPS coordinates to deal with your anti-green terrorist tendencies.
Meah...I'm happy to see jobs in Detroit (or anywhere else in the US)....but what kind of stupid joke is this? Plug in cars are fueled by wall current or some such thing-- which is often powered by a COAL or NUCLEAR power plant-- DUH!!!
