**How to Post a Video on 12160**
Please avoid the following mistakes:
This is a guide to help you post videos and troubleshoot some common problems.
1) The video section. Videos have their own special home here. To find it click on ‘Videos’ at the top of any page, then use the drop-down menu for 'All Videos'. Videos are generally posted here rather than the Blog/Forum sections unless the video is part of an article or discussion. You may post up to five (5) videos per day in this section. Additional videos may be posted in groups and/or in comments.
2) Stay on topic. The subject of your videos should be related to the New World Order and its various issues.
3) Avoid duplicates. Duplicate posts are easily avoidable. It only takes a few seconds to make sure your video has not been previously posted. Here are three methods.
A. Video Search. On the left side of the page, type or paste the title of your video into the ‘All Videos’ search engine.
If you get ‘Search Results,’ please scroll through to see if your video has already been posted. If it has, please do NOT repost it but please DO comment on it.
B. Film/Documentary Search. Many full-length films/documentaries relating to the NWO such as Alex Jones’ videos have most likely been posted already. Since they may have been posted in the Blog section or a Group Discussion, do a search of the entire site from the main search engine located in the upper right corner of the page. If it has been posted, do NOT repost it, but please DO comment on it.
C. New Videos. Some members subscribe to YouTube channels and other video sources and receive email notifications when new videos have been uploaded. But please do not assume that a newly uploaded video has not already been posted here. Admin has noticed duplicates posted within hours or even minutes apart. This could have been avoided by simply looking through the most recently posted ALL Videos which are all date and time stamped. Admin reserves the right to delete duplicate posts. However, Admin would prefer members’ cooperation so that this action becomes unnecessary.
4) Posting. From the Video page, click on ‘Add’ on the right side near your name. This is where you will paste the embed code which you have copied from the video. There are helpful embedding instructions at the bottom for YouTube, Hulu and Vimeo. Some other videos may be embeddable while others such as Google videos are not. When you click ‘Add’ the ‘Add a Video’ window will open. Paste the embed code, click 'Add Video,' and 'Edit Video' opens.
5) Editing. This is where you make your video shine. Proper editing will give your video posts a professional appearance. Here are some tips.
A. Title. Use the arrow keys to scroll through the title to remove superfluous words.
B. Description. When you post a YouTube video, you automatically get a partial description. This is most annoying because you don’t want your viewers to feel like they must go to YouTube to read the full description. Therefore, copy and paste the remainder of the description. Sometimes there is either an insufficient description or none at all. For example, ‘share videos with your friends’ or ‘make this video go viral’ are not proper descriptions and should be deleted. In this case, write your own brief description that summarizes the video. And please check for spelling errors and avoid using ALL CAPS if possible. If you are posting episodes or clips from episodes of TV/radio shows, it is helpful to add the episode number and/or the original air date.
C. Tags. Adding tags makes it easy to find your video. Please use keywords that are relevant to your video. Tags are separated by commas, see sample format: banks, Illuminati, NWO, Obama
D. Post. Click ‘Save’ to post your video. After your video has posted, please give it one more check. If you spot a typo or some other error, no problem, just click on 'Options' then select 'Edit Video' or 'Edit your Tags.' Make your corrections then click 'Save.' You can locate the videos you have posted in ‘My Videos.’
6) Multi-part videos. Since YouTube videos are limited to around 10 minutes, you will find many multiple-part videos. Instead of posting each part individually, simply combine them into one post. Here’s an example: http://12160.info/video/the-rothschilds-and-the
Notice that there are four videos followed by one description. How do you do this? Actually, there is a neat trick to accomplish this. You can only embed one video on the ‘Add Video’ page, so embed Part 1 of your series and click ‘Add Video.’ Then edit the title to get rid of the “Part 1 of X.” Next, delete the description, if any, and embed Part 2 in the description box, hit return, embed Part 3, hit return, and repeat the process until you have all the embed codes pasted. Finally, type or paste the description under the final embed code and add your tags. Voila! You did it! Note: Due to the maximum character limit in the description box, you will only be able to embed about seven or eight videos. If you have, for example, a 10-part series, you could embed parts 1 - 5 in one post and parts 6 - 10 in a second post. Hint: Post 6 -10 first, then post 1-5. Suggestion: If you have already posted multi-part videos individually, you can still go back and edit them now. This will be most helpful for locating and categorizing your videos in the future.
7) Posting Videos in Blogs, Discussions & Comments. Videos may be posted in blogs, discussions and comments. Select the Media tab (upper left-hand side, third icon from left - looks like a film strip), paste the embed code in the pop-up box and click 'OK'. You will only see the outline of your video until you publish your post or add your comment.
8) Other Video Formats. Google videos may be posted in blogs or comments following the procedures in #6. However, you may not be able to post Google videos as well as some other formats in the Video section. Please be advised that many of these videos are also available on YouTube. Go to YouTube and do a search for the video and many times you will find it there. And the YouTube format is easier to embed and view. If you cannot find it in an embeddable format, then you may write a blog and and add the link to the video.
9) Questions. Confused? Still have questions? Please contact Site Questions, Comments and Complaints and we will do our best to help you.
