First rule of diplomacy - when matters between two countries gets bad enough, it's time to send in the "A" team.  Ergo, Chinese President Hu is in DC.  (And he didn't show up for American-ized wonton and egg-lolls.)

Nope, he's in town (messenger boy that he is to his masters) to get eyeball-to-eyeball with certain power brokers in our [infamously corrupt] government and corporate arenas to start laying down some new ground rules about how and when this Nation is going to be taken over.

And while he's being courted and wooed (that's "showcase politics" in case you're wondering), his 400-member entourage are [more than likely] fanned out over our Nation doing all manner of inspections of the "literal and figurative collateral" the Chinese hold against us.   (The Chinese are notorious for being industrious little bastards. That 'entourage crew' will do more in a few days of taking a coast-to-coast "inventory" than a trained team of bad-asses hitting a beach!)

The next time a Chinese President comes to DC, it will be AFTER the official downfall of the Nation - and it will be when that President, and maybe even with the Russians in-tow as collaborators, runs a for-real Chinese Flag up the flagpole at OUR White House.

(You didn't think the current re-make of the 1984 movie "Red Dawn" was some kind of coincidence, did ya???  It's called pre-conditioning.)
