The recent update to Google Chrome has, for some reason, undone the fix for Flash in GVO if you have already applied it. Here is how to disable the external flash version with Chrome.

Chrome is not spying on you. The information that the browser sends is to google search Auto-complete that the browser uses to guess which URL you are hand typing in the address bar.
This has been discussed endlessly. Networking experts have examined the data finding it to be nothing more than a good browser feature.
And if you still don't like it you can use Incognito mode and avoid even that.
Simply uninstall google chrome it's a spying bit of software nobody needs.
