For decades now the public has struggled with what the government knows and what it denies as the truth. From cover ups, to sex scandals, to treason committed by our own officials, and assassinations, to the existence of unexplained phenomena such as UFO's. The people have been kept in the dark, ridiculed, and even threatened when it comes to getting to the bottom of it all. Whereas the term "Conspiracy Theory" was effectively used to delegitimize assertions of secrecy. today lies and detected schemes by the government have become so common place that conspiracy is no longer simply suspicion it is proven fact.

A major internal admission

In 2010 a long promised data dump by the FBI took place called the "FBI Black Vault" was released to the public. It completely debunked the notion that the federal government had no interest in UFO's and did not consider them to be a possible threat to national security. A number of US Air Force incidents, US Naval sightings, and US Army reports were investigated by the FBI under Director J. Edgar Hoover. As a matter of fact in 1947 a teletype document reveals that the crash of flying disk recovered by the 509th Bomb Group at Roswell Army Air Field is received at the Dallas FBI Head Quarters office. J. Edgar Hoover is furious that he is being left out of the loop while his bureau is being used by the armed forces to investigate UFO incidents. Special Agents for the FBI are being regularly assigned field work on these unknown aerial sightings.

The Official forked tongue

While the official word from the federal government to the American public was that the federal government and US Air Force did not take seriously the threat of UFO's or the extraterrestrial explanation, a MERINT Bulletin was issued in te mid 1950's to all armed services of the US and Canadian Coast Guard, Naval operations, air forces, and merchant marines that all sightings such as guided missiles, enemy aircraft, war ships, rockets, space vehicles, and Yes, UFO's were to be reported through the proper channels. However, the general public would be unaware unless experiencing a sighting themselves as the media was used by the Pentagon and even the CIA to continue the policy of denial and even ridicule as military pilots and their aircraft disappeared in pursuit of UAP's (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) all over the skies of the United States.

Ensuring nondisclosure

According to John Greenwald who has reported on government secrecy for years recently an Air Force document was discovered that once again instructed USAF personnel to direct all information concerning UFO sightings to be reported either to NORAD or the White House. Both agencies, he remarks, are not bound by the law to respond to Freedom of Information Act requests. How convenient! According to Donald Keyhoe in his book "Aliens in Space" even after the US Air Force announcement of shutting down Project Blue Book which was a paper tiger anyway after the 1953 Robertson Panel recommendations to limit funding and to relegate Blue Book into a public relations operation instead of being the intelligence gathering agency it had become under Director, Captain Edward J. Ruppelt, secret programs were being activated such as "Old Blue Paper" and more serious incidents being forwarded to Wright Patterson Air Base.

Keeping te truth hidden

Philip J. Corso, in his book "The Day After Roswell" was asked repeatedly how the recovery of a UFO, the use of the crash wreckage as back engineered sources of man's technologically rapid advancement could possibly have been covered up for so long without the public's knowledge, wouldn't some leak occur? His answer was revealing that the US intelligence services had been granted access to the public's telephone records, teletype messages, and satellite communcations for 20 years without knowledge of the public and it had been a top secret domestic surveillance program that, had it been exposed, would have come under attack as a violation of personal privacy and the US Constitutional rights of US citizens. Yet, this vial program was kept safely under wraps. Why not a secret UFO recovery and analysis of its artifacts that remained undiscovered?

Summation

This is merely the tip of the iceberg in evaluating the level of government secrecy that even with revelations provided by the internet and the FOIA requests still a huge volume of black budgets, black operations, and agencies that are beyond the purview of the Washington DC establishment exist in absolute defiance of the rule of law! Sadly, this is no conspiracy theory.
