I’m slowly losing ground

Out wandering around,
Seems like yesterday
When everything went astray
They sent the bodies away
It was an ominous day,
How could I convey?
Begging you to stay
On a winter’s day
Nothing more to say,
Lost everything I had
Some would say my bad
I even lost my Dad
Don’t ask why I’m sad,

Our leader wears a frown
He’s got the whole nation down
Sink or swim or just drown
We’re being led by a clown,
How much will it take?
Before you decide to awake
Do you need an earthquake?
You’re country’s dying for God sake!
Should have been a sheep herder for sure
My own countrymen won’t endure
At least the wool is pure
Courage is the only cure,
