Look out Elizabeth, We are About to be Obama'd Again

On very rare occasions, my television ends up on one of the "Big 3" television networks. Fortunately, or unfortunately, such was the case Monday evening, November 9th. Upon arriving home after my day's labors, and post my standard greeting being given to my dog Camshaft, I flipped on the TV and there sat Mr. Obama, along with one of ABC's trained puppets; the puppet asking questions which in turn would give Mr. Obama the perfect opportunity to respond with his "infomercial" of the day. And for some reason, I did not change the TV channel, but rather elected to watch the live theatre that the ABC puppet and Mr. Obama were presenting to the American public.

The theatre topics of the day, Health Care Reform, and Afghanistan. There may have been other topics that were presented in this particular Obama infomercial, but after some three minutes of viewing and listening to the bad play being presented, I lost my tolerance for listening to any further misdirection, misinformation, and indecision on the part of the two actors on screen. Ah, the magic of electronics. With one punch of a button, the ABC-Obama theatre presentation was terminated.

Having gone on about my business, and as the evening wore on, the way in which Mr. Obama and the ABC puppet discussed Mr Obama's chosen topics really began to wear on me. Not the topics per se, but the way in which Mr. Obama so left-handedly and casually was able to dismiss segments of the American population, as if he was nonchalantly swatting at an obnoxious nat.

The way Mr. Obama continued to justify his procrastination on Afghanistan, and in doing so, cleverly and eloquently blaming others for his chronic inability to come to a decision which, depending on the way he chooses to spin his turban, will cause no additional harm to "the bad guys", but in doing so will be at the expense of "the good guys".

The way in which Mr. Obama was able to shrug off the memory of a campaign promise by seemingly invoking the Urkelism,"Did I do that"? But out of everything Mr. Obama said, the one statement that really got me was the way in which Mr. Obama, (who by the way went unchallenged by the ABC puppet), dismissed any prior commitments that the US government had made to the American population.

The way in which Mr. Obama very casually, and with seemingly no change in emotion, or thought of cause and effect, announced that Medicare services would be cut, and the money garnered by this cut would go to make up one-third of the budget required in order for him and his Democratic Socialists to finance their government health care program. You know the health care program in whose participation is being advertised by Mr. Obama and the SD’s as voluntary or optional, well voluntary or optional, except for those who will lose their Medicare coverage in order to finance one-third of the Democratic Socialist’s Health Care system.

As the evening slowly passed, and as I continued to grow in my aggravation over the scene and dialogue that I had witnessed in the Obama/ABC theatrical performance, I decided that perhaps it would be of some assistance if I started trying to reduce the cause of my aggravation to paper. The following, therefore, is what I wrote:

Why Am I So Aggravated At What I Witnessed During Obama’s ABC Monday Infomercial/ Theatre Presentation:

1) Perhaps it was the way in which Mr. Obama, in such as matter of fact way dismissed medical care for people 65 up so that the uninsured can be covered for free.

2) Perhaps it was the way Mr. Obama so smoothly slid over the fact that if you jerk the majority of Medicare benefits out from under the 65 and up crowd, they will be forced to join “on a volunteer basis” the Socialist Democrat government health care system.

3) Perhaps is was because Mr. Obama made it clear that people 65 and over are expendable.

4) Perhaps it was because of the completely sick and destined to fail, as it has failed in the past, progressive/socialist political philosophy that drives this entire conversation, and the fact that so many Americans are buying, or have bought into such a political theory.

5) Perhaps it was because if George Bush had not opened up the southern US border to anyone who wanted to wander across it, turn a blind eye and deaf ear to the problems that it did and was going to cause the US in the future, we would not be looking at what we are looking at today……i.e. millions of politically organized people looking to be given something for nothing, and demanding that it is their “rights” to do so.

6) Perhaps it was because I am mad at myself for not paying more attention over the years to the clowns, court jesters, power hungry, and idealistically “ignorant of history” individuals who were elected to government positions and continually populated DC. 7) Perhaps it was regret in having grown up during a period of time in our country's history to where there were two subjects you never discussed in public; politics and religion.

8) Perhaps it was regret in having grown up during a period of time in our country's history where the belief was that you just did not speak against the government for fear of someone like J. Edgar Hoover or the IRS sending their "people" to pay you a visit.

9) Perhaps it was because I remembered Medicare as being sold as “the end all” medical safety net for all Americans, only to look at it now as another failed and bankrupt government attempt at being all things to all people, for free or almost free.

10) Perhaps it was because I am watching my government, now more Socialist in their ideals that when Medicare was conceived, attempting to implement an even larger, more complex, and more expensive medical “safety net” over the American population. The implementation of a health care philosophy that has failed and is currently failing in other countries throughout the world today. 11) Perhaps it was because I can actually see my freedom being eroded right before my eyes. That event, though I scream STOP the clowns, court jesters, and idealists of Washington, just keep right on doing as they please, fearless that anyone in America will stop them.

12) Perhaps it was because I can see, “Of The People, By The People, For The People” as an ideal going dormant; and that it is me and, “my fellow Americans” that have allowed this to occur.

From my perspective, there are two generations behind me that believe they should get everything for nothing because that is the way their lives have been up until now. They feel they are entitled to get everything for nothing, to do as they please, and to expend as little effort as possible in achieving both. What they do not realize is that they are of the perfect mentality to be taken over by politically aggressive, power-hungry, and idealistic people. And, by the time these two generations are my age, they may have gone through enough to figure out there are no free lunches, houses, cars, trips to the Bahamas, etc…….and, if they do not like this concept, and want to change it, that all they have to do is reverse a political process and cultural mentality that took 100 years to develop.

However, the reality is, there is only one way to have any chance of reversing what is currently going on in terms of the erosion of our freedoms. Everyone in Washington must be voted out of office, every last one of them. Because regardless of where they are standing on the issues of the day, every last one of them played their part in getting this country in the condition that it is in today. They all must go. From the Obama’s all the way down to the most junior elected official. And one day, it just might happen. By ballot or bullet, it just might happen. And, I wish everyone who experiences this period in US history good luck.

I close with the following narrative given by a black woman being interviewed by another TV network puppet on her attitude about Mr. Obama and Government Health Care:

"Obama is gonna give me money. He is gonna give me Obama money. He has a big stash of money and he is gonna give me some of his Obama money. I’ze happy with Obama. He’z gonna give me money." Puppet Question: How much money is he going to give you? "I’ze don't know, but he’z gonna give me some of his Obama money".
