When the representative body have lost the confidence of their constituents, when they have notoriously made sale of their most valuable rights, when they have assumed to themselves powers which the people never put into their hands, then indeed their continuing in office becomes dangerous to the State, and calls for an exercise of the power of dissolution.” - Thomas Jefferson
The United States has a government gone rogue. Our “leader” ignores the Constitution, skirts Congress, defies the Supreme Court, and disregards the best interests of the people.
Are the failures on Obama’s ever-growing laundry list accidental, or intentional? Is he incompetent, or does he have a nefarious plan for America? And does any of that even matter at this point? The U.S. government is out of control, and doesn’t show any signs of improving.
The list of Obama’s Constitutional violations is extensive and disturbing. At a fundraiser in March 2007, Obama said, “I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution.” This self-proclaimed Respecter-of-the-Constitution has overseen the destruction of our civil liberties and the expansion of the “imperial presidency.”
We have an economy on the brink of collapse, more “phony” scandals than we can follow, and a president who had his dog and Presidential Basketballs airlifted to Martha’s Vineyard last week for his most recent lavish vacation.
We have a president with a 41% approval rating, under whom race relations have taken a plummet, and a Congress with a 14% approval rating (that’s near a historical low).
We have a government that spies on us without probable cause, warrants, or suspicion – and then lies to us about those actions.
How will we tell our children that we lived through years of laws being enforced or broken on a whim? That the biggest lies of the most powerful men in the world went unchallenged? What will we say to them when they ask us how we blankly went along with all this madness and insanity?
