The Empire State Building has rejected a request to honor Mother Theresa.
The Catholic League asked building officials to fly Mother Theresa's
blue and white colors on the building for the 100th anniversary of her
birth August 26, but was turned down. Spokesman Jeff Field points out
that the building's towers are lit for such events as Christmas,
Hanukah, if the Yankees win the World Series -- and a communist
anniversary?
