According to reporters covering the events surrounding the attack on our US embassy in Libya and the murder of Ambassador Stevens this story is bigger than Watergate or the Contra Scandal. US News agencies are now descending upon the facts surrounding the entire incident and it looks like the White House and President Obama knew all along that the attack was being conducted by heavily armed terrorists!

Information from Reuters and CBS indicates that from e-mails obtained, the White House was fully aware of the attacks within minutes as first hand accounts were being funneled into the situation room. Even with immediate knowledge about the attacks as well as the ominous events that led up to the assault on the US embassy in Benghazi, President Obama denied it to the public saying it was as a result of some little known film that has supposedly insulted Muslims. Jay Carney was ordered to release a deliberately misleading statement about the attacks.

Even worse in all this is that President Obama and the White House knew all along that it was a terrorist attack, not a riot that got out of hand, not an obscure, low budget, film that some Egyptian in California made, who by the way was hauled out of his home by police in the middle of the night and jailed Nazi style, no folks, this was a blatant lie! It is quite clear that the life of Americans mean nothing to President Obama who refused to launch a counter strike or rescue operation to aid the embattled US embassy in Benghazi.

What’s more, Ambassador Stevens had been ordered by the White House to locate guns that has been walked to the Libyan rebels “Fast and Furious” style to aid in the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi. You might recall that President Obama ordered US forces into harm’s way to take part in the overthrow of the Libyan government without consent of Congress which was not only unconstitutional but an impeachable act!

According to Rush Limbaugh, 30 Americans were attacked for 7 hours with no ordered response by the White House as members of the President’s staff watched in real time from the situation room! Unbelievable! With two US aircraft carriers in the region as well as US Naval submarines within reach as well, no effort was coordinated or deployed to help the besieged Ambassador, his staff, or the few security personnel who were under heavy attack. One might also recall from my previous articles that several pleas for added security and Marine soldiers were denied by the Hillary Clinton State Department even though several attacks had occurred in days before the final assault. In one attack a huge section of the embassy outer wall was destroyed by an explosion. Obviously the terrorists were probing for a response.

According to CBS news correspondent Sheryl Atkinson, by 4:05 PM eastern time the US embassy has issued an alert to all intelligence agencies that they were under attack. Among the parties notified of the attack were the White House situation room, the Office of the Director of national Intelligence, and the FBI. From the White House situation room to the desks of many intelligence offices, hundreds of US federal  employees watched for 7 hours as the 30 known US personnel in Benghazi were under heavy assault by well armed, well trained, Muslim terrorists.

In the aftermath of these outrageous facts, what have we seen? Obama attending fund raisers with celebrities in the hours after the attack, Obama being a guest on the David Letterman show, and a speech from the Rose Garden of the White House misleading the American people about what had really taken place. This we now know.

We have seen President Obama and Hillary Clinton use $70,000.00 of tax payers money to purchase air time on Syrian TV and tell the Arab world that they did not support the content of some little known film that had allegedly insulted Muslims. This was the official response of our leaders to the murder of a US ambassador and his staff! What do you think other US ambassadors around the world must bethinking at this time? Perhaps, that they could be next?

What is even more deplorable and more disturbing is that the US media has made a concerted effort to black out the story, to silence the ugly truth, to protect the President! Rush Limbaugh characterizes this traitorous response by the US press corps as being like Woodward and Bernstein trying to cover up Watergate and protect President Nixon. All this in an apparent effort to see that the President’s path to re-election is not destroyed by the general public knowing just how little he values American lives who are serving their country! It is quite clear that at the very least, the President was not engaged and did not obviously care, this may have left the chain of command in a state of delay. A delay that caused the death of our US Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, and three other staff members.

This incident led to the unanswered attacks against 20 US embassy and consulate facilities through out the Middle East and North Africa. In the shadowy wake of 9-11, the worst foreign attack ever suffered on American soil, our President and his White House staff were complicit in capitulation, hiding the truth, failing to assist embattled Americans, and lying to the American people. These reprehensible actions should be met with immediate prosecution by the Department of Justice, but we all know that Attorney General, Eric Holder has no intention of upholding the law.
