My Miscalculations

Keep repeating all these memories in my brain

Rare moments of joy, regret, and pain

Were all my efforts in vain?

Perhaps had I just abstained,

A world flooded by the devil’s rain

It seems nothing will ever change

In my mind I try to rearrange

But, it all just seems to remain the same,

Ripping through a narrow band of space

A frequency which I can’t keep pace

Trying to find God’s interstellar grace

So many disappearing without a trace,

One moment you can be here then gone

This life will simply move on and on

Phantoms at the gates of dawn

Men and women losing their bond,

A parallel universe where mysteries lurk

I lived with you despite your character quirks

You’ll lie or steal whatever works

At the mental ward you’ll be greeted with smirks,

And it goes on my Dear year after year

As the news networks spread their fear

All the lies and distractions that we hear

I view the world with a disconnected sneer,

My miscalculations have led me here

We're locked in a demonic atmosphere

Tune into reality couldn’t be clearer
