With the recent developments of a myriad of types of satellites launched by different nations including the launches of NASA spacecraft, along with the search for exoplanets, we have overlooked some of the strangest observations right within our own solar system. Revolving around “Sol” a yellow dwarf are 9 planets, but a short time ago a NASA astronomer observed an earth sized planet on the outer edge of our solar system in the “Kuiper belt”. Astronomers are now busy searching for the celestial body for confirmation.

Where did it go?

Among one of many puzzling manifestations in our planetary system is the “Mysteroid planet”. Observed by an astronomer sometime in the late 19^th Century, the scientist had made several measurements to confirm his discovery of a here to fore undiscovered planet that existed between Earth and Mars. Such things as observing the gravitational pull of a celestial body upon the orbits of other planets or stars known as perturbation, the use of spectral analysis to determine elemental content, and relative distance from known planets are a few of the tests used to verify the existence of a planet, and at that time the tools of an astronomer were limited. Yet, Galileo in his time discovered the planet Mars, the “Mystery Planet”.

Lost forever

Just when the astronomer was going to announce his findings to the world and his colleagues the planet simply disappeared! Repeated attempts to find this unknown world failed. In exasperation he called it the “Mysteroid Planet”. It wasn’t long after that that the asteroid belt between earth and Mars was discovered, and the astronomer theorized that his discovery had somehow broken up or had had a catastrophic collision with another celestial body, and this accounted for the existence of the asteroid belt. There have been stories and legends generated from this controversy such as perhaps an advanced civilization had destroyed itself in a war when a doomsday weapon had been unleashed. Some science fiction stories were spawned along these lines as well as well as comic book tales.

Mysterious cause of the Roswell Incident

There is now a new theory out on the Roswell Crash in New Mexico in 1947. The various scenarios have covered every theory from an alien space craft inadvertently brought down by powerful targeting radars that were operating at the time and had picked up unknown airborne objects. These primitive radars were way too powerful and were even a danger to the personnel in the radar stations operating them. Was it possible that a sophisticated navigation system of an alien race could have been disrupted by the post-World War II instrumentality? Others who observed powerful thunder storms during that week thought that a lightning strike might have brought down the alleged extraterrestrial craft. Another theory surmises that perhaps antiaircraft batteries or fighter planes could have played a role in the crash.

Plausible cause?

Recently, a new idea has been unveiled that could account for the loss of an advanced craft that would have been hard to escape once it materialized. During the week of the reported crash on Mac Brazel’s ranchland a record eruption of a corona event from our son was released into space. Traveling at millions of miles an hour, the plasma entered our atmosphere and knocked out communications as well as a electrical power grid shared by Canada and the US Pacific northwest. Theorists claim that this very event could have caused an atmospheric disruption that could have rendered an aerial craft in the upper atmosphere into an unrecoverable loss of lift dooming that craft to crash. This very same phenomenon had almost caused US satellites to lose their orbital altitude and burn up in the denser air of the lower stratosphere, but luckily NASA control was able to activate the proper adjustments to avert the loss their probe. The massive coronal event of 1947 is the largest such eruption from the sun’s surface ever observed in history of astronomic science. In fact, a number of Space X satellites may be lost to this very same phenomenon re-entering our atmosphere and burning up.

A true anomaly

Mars has always been a unique planet that has often defied scientific explanation. From the canals supposedly observed by Percival Lowell to the huge and inexplicable losses of satellites by the US and Russia on course for the “Red planet” have added an air of the unknown to the mythology of the “God of War” as the ancients had described the planet. The old saying that truth can be stranger than fiction can certainly be applied to the moon that orbits Mars known as Phobos. In 1958 a Russian astronomer discovered that the orbit of Phobos was not only retrograde (Counter clockwise) but that at the speed that the supposed moon traveled would have made it a hollow sphere and quite likely to be an artificial moon or satellite! Phobos is the only moon in the entire solar system that orbits basically backwards. Many scientists consider this to be evidence that a technological power beyond man is responsible.

Another unique feature

If this was not enough to raise an eyebrow over a planet that H. G. Wells used as the staging point of alien space invaders “War of the Worlds” perhaps the most famous work of science fiction in the history of literature, a recent satellite photo discovered a monolith on the surface of Phobos. A huge single mass of rock standing 90 meters tall and 85 meters wide, an upright standing panel, reminiscent of Arthur C. Clarkes “2001 a Space Odyssey” has been captured on camera by a NASA satellite. According to geographical data, this large singular piece of rock is inconsistent with the surface around it.

These are a few of the incongruent features existing in our very own solar system which will, no doubt, continue to amaze us as we develop more sophisticated methods of exploring our celestial neighbors and arrive at a better idea of how the planetary system was formed as more and more we arrive at the prospect of “Intelligent design”.
