What you are about to read is avoided like the plague by corporate media as the underlying theme is the politic use, or abuse of religion as they see fit at the tine. And mass media has even played the role of right hand man in this process.

Religious controversies have bathed mankind in blood for almost 2000 years. One might have thought we could have figured a way to move on from it all, and there has been progress from time to time.

The Catholic church does not burn herbal medicine people to eliminate their competition with the in-town quack doctors as they did during the Inquisition. We appreciate that.

And Mediterranean Europe is not routinely pillaged by Christian Crusaders with poor economies at home seeking fame and fortune, mostly fortune, under the guise of serving God, which is THE popular scam.

 But instead of getting away from these past excesses, we are seeing them dug out of the closet, dusted off, and refurbished before sending them back out into the field to do what they have always done. They are used as destabilization tools for elite entities (not necessarily governmental) wanting to extract wealth and expand their rule over others.

Contemporary state sponsored terrorism is all the rage now, as it can be conducted with immunity and has a 100% batting record of zero prosecutions. So far, the world's institutions, the UN, the Vatican, all of them...pretend they see nothing. They know that state sponsored terrorism can come to their house at any time, and from a variety of methods.

And the terror of terrors are the clean mini-nukes which due to proliferation decisions made by the US when the old Davy Crockett tactical nukes were slipped out the back door and given to Israel many years ago.

Those Frankensteins are still roaming around, and more than a few have been used. We know because they leave trace finger prints behind at the scene which are a routine lab analysis to confirm.

And if  you have a database to compare the sample to you will know exactly where the nuclear material came from, but not necessarily who set it off as these have changed hands over the years.

We are living in an age of nuclear blackmail now and there are multiple players, a very dangerous situation…and a failure of leadership that runs off the scale.

There is an old saying, “God is in the details”. I think that maybe our survival is, too, and we need to up our awareness as to what we are really dealing with in terms of where the real threats are, and put some fire on them… Jim W. Dean ]

The faithful

Politicians in most countries present themselves as people of faith. Many genuinely are, but they present themselves as such not for religious but political reasons.

If you are a good Christian/ Moslem/ Jew/ Buddhist, it means your actions are guided by a moral code respected and understood by the population of that country, regardless of what those actions actually are.

Indeed, “political Christianity” is more popular than the Christian faith itself. Most European countries have a major Christian Democrat party, often founded by an actual church, whose policies are theoretically determined by Christian morality, even though this subtly differs between the majority Christian groups in each country (i.e., there is a “Catholic social teaching” and a “Protestant work ethic”).

As for the US, it is sufficient to cite the 1980s satirical show “Whoops Apocalypse”, which portrayed college students being recruited to serve their country, without payment, by being nailed to a life size cross on the White House lawn. So what is the response of Christian political leaders to the executions and forcible conversions of Christians in Mosul, conducted by US-inserted, trained and funded ISIS terrorists? Or look at the ongoing persecutions of Coptic Christians in Egypt?

The same West which won’t allow Turkey into the EU because its Islam contradicts the values of Europe’s good Christians is doing precisely nothing to stop the persecution of Christians in other parts of the world.

Why? Is it because “political Christianity” is exactly that … you can only be a “political Christian” if you are assumed to be pro-Western, whatever that means at a given time, and “fit in” with Christians of the West. If you don’t, you don’t count as a Christian, no matter what your faith may be. It is all about political expediency and what use you can play as part of the game, either live or dead.

Such an attitude is fundamentally opposed to the Christian faith, whatever branch of it a believer may belong to. But the new religion of “political Christianity” is using the term “Christian” in the same way Communist states called themselves “democratic”.

When other Christians are being used as collateral damage to achieve “political Christian” objectives, our rulers have no right to call themselves Christians of any kind, even fallible ones, as all are.
