Never Destined To Be
No need to tell me how you love being single anymore
You'd made that point quite clear before
In my life just another closed door
These things it seems I get to know more and more
I heard a voice in the dark call out my name
But no one was there what a shame
This is what happens when no one's left to blame
Wondering if I'll ever be the same,
Like some angel kissed breeze leaving me on my knees
I know I've fallen to a certain degree
Lost love taking a toll on me
Some things were never destined to be,
Like Seagulls flying over the sea
Some forms of life intended to be free
Like proposing to a fiance on bended knee
There are no guarantees,
A dark presence once stood over my bed
A product of worry and dread
Be careful of what's inside your head
Don't always know down what corridor we're being led,
Life is full of nightmares and dreams
Thanks to toxic people and their schemes
Stumbling through a fog at times it seems
Your perfect angel you can hear her screams,
Mister surgeon man do the best that you can
You see I'm plagued by memories that should be banned
Perhaps your life didn't go as you planned
You fell prey to a Goddess with legs well tanned,
If you ask for the moral of this story
Watch out for that little tigress named Lauri
What she'll do to your heart might get a bit gory
Some things were never destined to be.

cheeki kea Thank you dear for your comments. You are always insightful.
Thank you Chris. Always appreciate your thoughts.
Doc V, reading your poems is like hearing in the minds eye the most beautiful, yet sadist songs one could ever wish to be touched by. You have a great talent with words. I will find a nice cover of such a song and and post it up.
