The Wall Street Journal reports
that a federal appeals court recently denied a request by the Federal
Reserve to reconsider a March ruling that requires the Fed to release
information on borrowers from the discount window and so-called "last
resort" lending programs. The Fed claimed that transparency would
hamper the zombie banking system. Let's hope that their appeal to the
Supreme Court is met with just as much scrutiny.
