Harry Reid just can't help himself.
This Wednesday, the Senate will hold cloture votes on the Police-Firefighter Forced Unionism bill, the DREAM Act, a package for 9/11 responders, and legislation that would give Social Security recipients $250.
In a blatant power grab, Harry Reid is trying to overload the system by jamming through as much legislation as he can at the same time.
You see, the Majority Leader knows the American people are tired of business as usual, and that he will have a much harder time ramming his agenda down our throats in the upcoming Congress.
While America waits for action on extending tax cuts that allow us to keep more of our hard-earned dollars, the Senate Majority Leader apparently thinks it's more important to repay his establishment pals by further entrenching their power with a Police/Firefighter bill that would override state laws, push already bloated state budgets past the breaking point, and empower Big Labor by making its agents the spokesmen for public-safety officers.
He hopes to diffuse the opposition by making Police/Firefighter just one of many issues brought up on Wednesday.
Contact your senators today. Remind them that the American people have spoken. It's time to stop promoting bigger government and more spending while the Fed continues to recklessly print money, tax cuts are set to expire, and our fellow citizens are subjected to humiliating naked porno scanners just to travel during the holiday season.
