No One Else To Blame

If Only I could exist on promises you made

There’d be nothing else I’d ever want to trade

But just like a debt that’s never paid

I’m invisible now and that’s the price I’ve paid,

Just like a space suit that developed a leak

A matter of life and death at it’s very peak

Poisoned by the forbidden fruit that I seek

Left me feeling forgotten like some old antique,

No one can understand this kind of grief

And life goes on like an escaping thief

Like dodging a bullet and shaking like a leaf

Feeling like a ship wrecked on a reef,

Though I know there’s no one else to blame

Might as well have been consumed by a flame

Still those memories that I dream all the same

It’s all my fault you would forever claim,

Thrown off life’s roller coaster can’t remember my name

It seems this is one lion that I’ll never be able to tame

Maybe someday the color from your face will drain

A personal tragedy just one more human stain.
